The CMS StatSquads are lending a hand to their school basketball teams this season by supplying valuable game time information to coaches. The team is using iPads and software supplied by the NAS StatSquad program to track statistics during the games.
"One student is tracking the play of our team while another is tracking play for the opposing team," explains North Meck StatSquad Advisor Rick Gardner. "The coaches are taking the information into the locker room with them at half-time and making adjustments based on what they see."
The StatSquads use the iScout basketball application to record live stats at games. The app allows for one-touch scoring, generates reports and shot charts, and will directly email reports from the scoring device.
Berry Academy's StatSquad is using the app for its second basketball season and finds it invaluable in keeping stats and saving time in data entry. "The app is great for scoring and it integrates directly with cmsathleticzone.com to sync game data directly to the website team pages.," says Berry StatSquad Advisor, Chase Romano.
By supplying the coaches with this data, the StatSquads are making a difference in the game and the success of their teams.
I can see it now..... the OrthoCarolina MVP of the game goes to... the StatSquad! Go Squad!
