Myers Park men's tennis defeated Panther Creek 5-4 to claim the 4A Men's Dual Team State Championship. The Mustangs ended their season undefea

Panther Creek dominated in the singles portion of the championship, winning four of the six matchups.

Sam Dean defeated Panther Creek's Nadir Bajwa 6-0 and 6-1 in their two sets. Charlie Fox defeated Owen Shifflett 6-4 and 6-0.

Myers Park went into the doubles portion with everything to do, needing to sweep Panther Creek in the three matches. They did exactly that.

Charley Reiney and Charlie Fox defeated Owen Shifflett and Akash Nijhawan 10-4 in the first doubles matchup

Mark Dillon and Sam Dean won the second matchup over Panther Creek 10-8.

In the final match, Flynn Stover and Christopher Williams claimed the title after defeating Alex Kim and Rishi Kakkar 11-10 (7-3).

Myers Park Men's Tennis finished their season undefeated at 21-0. They likely drew inspiration from the Women's Tennis team who also finished their season undefeated at 21-0 with a 4A State Championship in the fall.

Congratulations to the Myers Park men's tennis team for this great achievement and for helping to continue to make CMS Athletics the best in the state.
