Must have current physical turned  into Athletic Director Bailey

Magnet students will need placement letter

Times:

Beginning June breakfast will be at 7:30 AM and workouts begin at 8:00 AM

Football and Volleyball will begin at 8:00 

Soccer Workouts- will begin July 9th at 7:30 AM  meet in  D8

Women's Tennis will begin July 9th at 7:30 AM

Women's Basketball will workout at 11:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 

Men's Basketball Monday at  11:00 AM

Cheerleading workouts are on Wednesdays at 8:00

No workout weeks July 2nd-6th and July 16th-20th

CMS Board of Education recognizes 2017-18 fall and winter state champions

 

The Board of Education recognized CMS 2017-18 fall and winter sport NCHSAA state champions at their April 24th board meeting.

Pictures are from a reception that followed the recognition ceremony.

 

2017-18 NCHSAA Team State Champions

  1. Harding University High School       NCHSAA 4A Football Champions
  2. William Amos Hough High School   NCHSAA 4A Women’s Swimming and Diving Champions                                                                                     - 3-repeat
  3. Independence High School              NCHSAA 4A Men’s Basketball Champions

 

2017-18 NCHSAA Individual State Champions

  1. Josh Brockman is the NCHSAA men’s 55m hurdles indoor state champion – Ardrey Kell HS.
  2. Avery Gambill is the NCHSAA 4A men’s 500 freestyle state champion – North Mecklenburg HS.
  3. Jirah Sidberry is the NCHSAA 4A girl’s long jump and triple indoor jump state champion – Rocky River HS.
  4. Chris Alexander is the NCHSAA 4A men’s triple jump state champion – Rocky River HS.
  5. Jenna Thompson is the NCHSAA 4A women’s tennis individual state champion – South Mecklenburg HS.
  6. Eric Hudson is the NCHSAA 4A wrestling state champion in the 195 pound weight class and named Most Outstanding Wrestler – West Mecklenburg HS.
  7. Charles Clickner, Hugh Svendsen, Cameron Miller, and John Walker are the NCHSAA 4A men’s 200 freestyle relay state champions – Myers Park HS.
  8. Hugh Svendsen, David Andrew Warlick, John Walker, and Cameron Miller are the NCHSAA 4A men’s 400 freestyle relay state champions - Myers Park HS.
  9. John Walker is the NCHSAA 4A men’s 200 freestyle state champion - Myers Park HS.
  10. Lily Higgs is the NCHSAA 4A women’s 100 breaststroke state champion – Hough HS.
