NFL 50 year celebration comes to Olympic

Charlotte, NC: On behalf of the National Football League and the Super
Bowl High School Honor Roll Initiative; in appreciation and
acknowledgement of his participation in Super Bowl XXXV- Thabiti Davis
former NY Giants wide receiver, a graduate of Olympic High School and
Wake Forest University will receive and present his commemorative
“Golden Football” to his high school alma mater during the 2015 regular
football season. This Wilson Golden Football will feature his name along
with the Super Bowl in which he appeared.
This exciting celebration recognizes every player who appeared in a Super
Bowl as a thank you for being an ambassador of the game. These Wilson
Golden Footballs will be delivered directly to the honorees high school and
Davis will personally present the memorabilia during the 2015 regular
football season. This platform is designed to link 49 Super Bowls with this
year’s game and honor the communities that have positively impacted both
the game of football and the person who played.
“High school football programs from coast to coast have consistently built
men of high character by instilling the values of football in their student
athletes” said NFL Commissioner, Rodger Goddell. Davis is a former NFL
WR, a graduate of Olympic High School in Charlotte, NC and a former ACC
standout and proud alumnus of Wake Forest University in Winston Salem,
NC. He currently serves as Assistant WR Coach and Special Teams
Coordinator at Winston Salem State University.
