CMS Athletics Weekly Round Up

Another exciting week of CMS football commenced last Friday night. The competition is really heating up as the last month of regular season play is upon us. We saw a number of impressive results with Mallard Creek and North Meck remaining as the only two teams with an undefeated season record. If you missed any of the action, catch up by reading below for a list of scores an updates from last week’s match-ups.


East Meck def. Garinger, 44-0

East Meck earned their fourth win of the season last Friday night defeating Garinger with a shut-out win. The Golden Eagles now hold a positive record of 4-3 on the season. Garinger drops to 1-6 with the loss, and they will face another tough opponent next week, Porter Ridge.


Harding def. Berry, 51-12

Harding continued to their dominating season run last week with another win over So Meck 7 conference opponent, Berry. The team advances to 6-1 on the season. Berry drops to 1-6 with the loss, however, they should face a good match-up next with South Meck scheduled for Friday, October 13.


Mallard Creek def. West Charlotte, 33-0

Mallard Creek remains one of the two CMS football teams with an undefeated record this season. The Mavericks shut out West Charlotte last Friday night advancing their record to 7-0 on the season. West Charlotte drops to 3-4 with loss.


North Meck def. Hopewell, 34-0

North Meck also remains undefeated on the season with their shut-out win over Hopewell last Friday night. The team scored thirty four points on the night advancing their record to 7-0 on the season as well. Hopewell will continue to search for their first win of the season this Friday night as they are scheduled to take on another tough opponent, Mallard Creek.


Butler def. Myers Park, 28-7

Butler upset the previously undefeated Myers Park last Friday night. The come from behind win advances the Bulldogs to 5-1 on the season. The Mustangs drop to 6-1 suffering their first loss to the southwestern conference opponent.


Porter Ridge def. Independence, 42-8

Independence suffered another tough loss last week to southwestern conference opponent Porter Ridge. The loss drops the team to 1-6 on the season. This week they will face Butler who will be tough to take down after their recent win over Myers Park last week.


Hough def. Lake Norman, 62-20

Hough dominated Lake Norman last Friday night under the lights. The Huskies scored a season-record sixty-two points on the night advancing their record to 5-2 on the season.


Ardrey Kell def. South Meck, 37-26

Ardrey Kell earned their first win of the season last week with an eleven-point win over South Meck. The win moves the Knights to an overall record of 1-7. South Meck drops to 1-6 with the loss.


Vance def. Mooresville, 28-14

Vance continued their positive momentum last Friday night with a win over I-Meck conference opponent Mooresville. The team advances their record to 5-2 on the season.


West Meck def. Olympic, 49-35

West Meck earned conference win last Friday night over So Meck 7 conference opponent Olympic. The win advances West Meck to 6-2 on the season. Olympic drops back to 3-4 on the season. The team will look to bounce back to an even record next week as they are scheduled to take on Providence.


Hickory Ridge def. Rocky River, 28-6

Rocky River dropped another southwestern conference game last week with a loss to Hickory Ridge. The team will continue their search for a win next week as the are scheduled to take on East Meck at home on Friday, October 13.
