Baseball

Playoffs are underway! CMS baseball teams competed in their first round of the NCHSAA playoffs last week as each team fought to stay alive and play another day. For a complete list of last weeks results, and to find out who has moved on, please read below!

Wednesday, May 9

  • Independence def. East Meck, 5-0
  • Lake Norman def.  Hopewell, 2-0
  • South Meck def. Scotland, 11-1

Saturday, May 12

  • Providence def. Independence, 3-2
  • Ardrey Kell def. Lake Norman, 3-0
  • South Meck def. Myers Park, 9-7
  • Ronald Reagan def. Hough, 7-3

Softball

CMS softball teams also completed their first and second round of the NCHSAA state playoffs last week! Providence High School remains as the only CMS softball program to move on to round three. For a complete list of last weeks results, please read below!

Wednesday, May 9

  • Olympic def. South Meck, 10-1
  • High Point Central def. North Meck, 7-2
  • Purnell Swett def. Ardrey Kell, 9-4
  • Butler def. Greensboro Page, 10-0

Saturday, May 12

  • Providence def. High Point Central, 14-0
  • Richmond County def. Independence, 12-2
  • Lake Norman def. Butler, 6-4
  • NW Guilford def. Olympic, 10-0

Women's Soccer

CMS women's soccer teams have begun their chase for the state championship completing rounds one and two of the NCHSAA playoff last week! We saw many great performance and even better results from a lot of our programs. For a complete list of last weeks results, and to find out who has moved on, please read below!

  • Ardrey Kell def. Ragsdale, 2-0
  • South Meck def. Grimsley, 2-0

  • Pinecrest def. Mallard Creek, 3-0
  • Providence def. Porter Ridge, 3-1
  • Hough def. Hickory Ridge, 1-0
  • South Caldwell def. Ardrey Kell, 1-0
  • Myers Park def. South Meck, 6-0

Men's Lacrosse

The CMS men's lacrosse playoffs continued last week with even more great match-ups! Ardrey Kell and Myers Park both dropped games to Lake Norman last week ending their 2018 seasons. Congratulations to all of our men's lacrosse programs on another great year! For a complete list of last weeks results, please read below.

  • Lake Norman def. Ardrey Kell, 19-9

Friday, May 11

  • Lake Norman def. Myers Park, 13-8

Women's Lacrosse

Myers Park women's lacrosse remained as the only CMS program to compete in the NCHSAA playoffs last week. They dropped a tough game to Weddington on Tuesday, ending their 2018 season. Congratulations to all of our women's lacrosse programs on a great year!   • Weddington def. Myers Park, 20-6

Men's Golf

The 2018 Men's Golf State Championship Tournament was held last week on Monday and Tuesday at Pinehurst #6 in Pinehurst, NC. CMS placed two teams in the top five including Myers Park who finished just three shots off the lead! Congratulations to all of our programs on another successful season! Men's Tennis

CMS men's tennis teams competed in the 2018 NCHSAA Individual State Championships last weekend. Congratulations to all of our teams and individuals who competed in a great series of matches and events! Also, congratulations to Hough athletes, Will Crane & Ryan Mangiapane, who won the doubles draw over Cardinal Gibbons on Saturday!
