The seniors will surely be missed. They displayed great chemistry, athletic skill and leadership which helped to make this year so memorable.
While this season had to end a game too early, this team has many accomplishments to be proud of; Silver Bracket Champion at Country Day, undefeated in conference play, regular season champions, tournament champions, tournament MVP in Megan Owens; avenging the loss to Hough and an incredible ride through the playoffs. The Mustangs defeated perennial power Ardrey Kell in 5 thrilling sets, eliminated another perennial power and defending Regional champion Hough in 3 sets but the last two sets were just as exciting as any they played all year and then the highlight of traveling to NW Guilford and defeating the number 1 seed in, as their students put it, Their House. There are more honors to come on Thursday when All-Conference selectees are announced. Congratulations to everyone for a truly wonderful year.
