Fall Sports: Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Softball, Golf

Fall Sports Registration/Sign-Ups:

You will first need to complete all eligibility packet forms by pressing the red online registration banner above to create your account with dragonfly. Dragonfly will house all athletic documents and links to documents to download for your registration.

All required sports physical documents will need to be downloaded and taken to your doctor for completion. This year, you will be able to scan and upload your readable sports physical. Note:  If you choose to upload your sports physical, all sides must be clearly readable and made preferably into a pdf document.

No hard copies of the ticket to play online registration will be accepted, with the exception of a hand delivered sports physical to either the main office or athletic director's office mail box.

The online registration is not considered done until the entire eligibility packet is complete. The entire eligibility packet must be completed before a student athlete will be allowed to participate in any sport activity.

  • Note: It is imperative that all paperwork is done ahead of time, even before the due date of August 24th at 6pm. In rare cases, I will contact you if you are missing items that may require immediate attention for tryouts. For example, and expired physical, which would prevent your child from trying out until the issue is fixed.  Just keep in mind that one person's lack of planning isn't my emergency!

Try-out Information and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

Eligibility Requirements:

All rising seventh grade students for the fall sports season are eligible to participate. Rising eighth grade students must have a 2.0 or higher to participate in fall sports. The rising eighth grader gpa is based on a student's end- of- year (2nd semester) grade as a seventh grader.

All students must have a valid sports physical and be cleared to participate in CMS athletics from your physician.

Note: Seventh grade students after the first semester grade reports are released must have a 2.0 or higher to remain eligible.

How will I confirm that my student is cleared to participate in try-outs?

When you complete/submit/ get approved all required forms for the online registration using dragonfly, you will see a green check for each category. If you receive all green checks for each  category of the required information, then your student is good to go for try-outs.

If you do not receive all green checks, then be sure to get this information submitted no later than August 24th at 6pm.  Registration is not considered complete until all items are marked by a green check mark.

Tryouts will be a minimum of 2 days and are held after school. Football will begin on Monday, August 29th. Volleyball, softball and cheer will begin on Tuesday, August 30th. Golf Tryouts will be September 6th. Pick-up for your student will be at 6:00 each day.

What to Bring to Try-Outs:

A t-shirt, sneakers, or cleats, and sport specific equipment. For example, bats, gloves, golf clubs.  A place will be designated for equipment drop off prior to tryouts.

Are parents allowed to be at try-outs:

This will be a closed tryout.  Students should be picked up outside of the school gymnasium area in the bus parking lot by 6:00 pm each day.

How will my student know if they made the team:

Students that make the team will be posted here on this website under the fall sports link located on the right hand toolbar. The coach will let all student/athletes know when they should look for their name or tryout number. If a student's name or number appears they will report to next practice.

Students that are selected for a team will be required to pay a $75.00 non-refundable fee to participate for each season of participation. This payment can be made online once  a student has made a team.
